Objective:To analyze the nursing service demand, resource distribution, supply and demand matching of the elderly with cognitive impairment in Shanghai,so as to provide references for policy-making.Methods:Three districts in Shanghai were selected to investigate the demand for nursing services for the elderly with cognitive impairment and to measure their needs. The potential model was used to calculate the supply and demand of nursing service resources. Results:The proportion of the elderly with cognitive impairment who were willing to receive nursing service demands was high, which accounted for 80.0%.However,the gap between resource demand and supply was large, beds supply accounted for 38.8%of the demand and seats supply accounted for 67.5%of the demand. The resource supply distribution was insufficient, beds and seats densely distributed in the suburb, while the spatial accessibility of beds and seats gradually decreased from urban to suburb. Conclusion:The nursing services demand of the elderly with cognitive impairment are high, but the supply of beds is insufficient, the resource distribution is unbalanced.
