摘　　要：1950年至1954年12月25日,川藏公路和青藏公路在世界屋脊上修筑并通车,具有重要历史作用和伟大意义。川藏、青藏公路的修成,极大改变了西藏交通的原始落后状态。川藏、青藏公路修筑成功与否,密切关系到当时西藏的政治局势,关系到中国共产党和解放军能否在西藏扎稳脚跟,关系到西南边疆的巩固和祖国大陆的统一。在西藏及相关毗邻地区的当代历史进程中,川藏、青藏公路发挥着重要作用。川藏、青藏公路的修成,离不开11万中国各族人民的艰辛努力和3000志士的英勇捐躯,正是这些建设者创造了伟大的“两路”精神。The constructions of Sichuan-Tibet and Qinghai-Tibet Highways from 1905 to 1954 have great significance and important historical role in Chinese history. These two highways tremendously changed the primitive and backward transportation conditions in Tibet. The successful construction of these two highways was closely related to the political situation,the establishment of solid foundation of CPC and People’s Liberation Army in Tibet at that time,the consolidation of China’s south-west frontier and the national reunification of China as well. These two highways play crucial role in the contemporary historical process among Tibet Autonomous Region and its neighboring areas. The successful construction of Sichuan-Tibet and Qinghai-Tibet Highways cannot be achieved without the hard work of110,000 Chinese people of all ethnic groups and the heroic sacrifice of 3,000 valiant men. They are the creators of the ‘Two Road’ spirit.
