视听资料对英语学习者动机影响的实证研究及在高校英语课堂的应用

摘  要:如今,英语是全球化时代的重要工具。在很大程度上,英语学习与英语学习的动机是高度相关的。大多数人都认为,只有学习者愿意主动学习,学习才会发生(Williams&Burden, 1997)。随着英语学习的发展,越来越多的二语习得研究者关注动机在英语学习中的作用。学习者之间的差异对教育者来说变得更加重要。因此,许多学者提倡采取多种策略来提高学生的英语学习动机,而在英语课堂中使用视听资料被普遍认为是提高学生学习动机的途径之一。文章将主要探讨如何在英语课堂中使用视听资料促进学习者学习动机。Nowadays, English is an important tool in the era of globalization. Basically, English learning is highly relevant to the motivation for English learning. Most people believe that learning only happens if the learner is willing to study actively(Williams & Burden, 1997). With the development of English learning, more and more second-language acquisition researchers pay attention to the role of motivation in English learning. Differences between the learners have become even more important to the educators. Therefore, many scholars advocate multiple strategies to improve students’ motivation for English learning, the use of audio-visual materials in English classes is generally regarded as one of the ways to improve students’ learning motivation. This paper will focus on how audio-visual materials is used in English classes to promote learners’ learning motivation.
