摘 要:为利用天气雷达回波资料实现雷暴的自动识别,提出了一种基于温度层强回波区域面积的天气雷达雷暴自动识别方法。该方法首先利用雷达回波体扫数据在水平范围内搜索强回波区域;再对某一温度层上,达到设定阈值的雷达回波反射率因子的区域进行面积求和,当水平范围强回波区域面积达到识别面积阈值时,判定该强回波区域为雷暴区域。在此基础上,结合S波段双偏振多普勒天气雷达观测资料、闪电定位资料,采用了17个雷暴天气过程的312个雷暴区域检验识别算法。结果表明:当等高度平面位置显示(CAPPI)数据处理中采用(35 dBZ,0℃,2 km^(2))参数组合能够达到最优的识别效果,识别概率可达87.5%,虚警率为32.9%,临界成功指数为61.2%。该方法可以用于天气雷达的雷暴计算机自动识别业务。In order to realize the automatic identification of thunderstorm by using the echo data of weather radar,a method of automatic identification of thunderstorm based on the area of the high intensity echo area of the temperature stratification was proposed.Firstly,the high intensity echo area is searched in the horizontal range by using the volume scan data of weather radar.Secondly,the area of radar echo reflectivity factor that reaches the threshold value on a certain temperature stratification is searched.When the area of the high intensity area in the horizontal range reaches the identification area threshold,the high intensity echo area is determined to be thunderstorm area.To test the effectiveness of the algorithm,combined with the observation data of an S-band dual polarization Doppler weather radar and lightning location data,312 thunderstorm regions of 17 thunderstorm weather processes are tested.Results show that when the parameter combination(35 dBZ,0℃,2 km^(2))is used in Constant Altitude Plan Position Indicator(CAPPI)data processing,the algorithm can achieve the optimal identification effect,and the optimal identification results with the Probability Of Detection(POD)of 87.5%,False Alarm Rate(FAR)of 32.9%,Critical Success Index(CSI)of 61.2%could be obtained.This method can be used in the automatic thunderstorm identification of weather radar.
