摘　　要：“学术中国”国际高峰论坛具有空前的重要性,不仅是因为中国已成为世界上非常重要的发展中国家之一,还因为当前的国际紧张局势以及从多个视角观察中国的重要性。相信这一论坛的举办,将有助于我们增进对中国的了解。我之前在世界银行工作近30年,并从1992年开始研究中国。世界银行的任务和目标之一,就是帮助发展中国家实现减贫脱贫,而中国在这一方面确实取得了巨大成功。In 2021, China celebrated the complete eradication of extreme poverty, and its work on poverty reduction has a truly global significance. Although China’s unique history its initial conditions and political system al play a role in shaping its experience in poverty reduction, it is hard but not impossible to draw lessons for other countries. On how to approach particular problems that China was facing a that particular point in time, Chinese authorities and intellectuals studied and reflected the experiences and lessons from other countries, but did not regard them as inrefutable truths. Copying China’s mode doesn’t make any sense, but learning from China’s successful practices and experience is a very important task for the scholars studying China.
