摘　　要：美国文学思想是美国文学所特有的、具有强大延伸力且为美国文学家所共享的关于文学价值与目的的核心理念。它包括世界观和价值观的基本向度,并深受文学艺术观与批评观的驱动与制约。20世纪美国文学思想在“民族性”与“美国性”、“本土性”与“世界性”、“社会性”与“艺术性”等诸多构成要素上发生了位移和转向,因此成为考察美国文学思想本质特征和发展规律的重要时期。American literary thought,unique in American literature and powerful in its tension,refers to the core ideas about literary values and objectives shared by the American literary circle.It includes the basic dimensions of world views and values,promoted and restrained by the artistic and critical views in literature.The development of 20;century American literary thought is featured by the diversions of the dichotomous elements of“national”and“American”,“local”and“world”,“social”and“artistic”,which make the century an important epoch in the study of American literary thought on its fundamental characteristics and rules of development.
