The interaction between energy and metabolism can be regarded as the core mechanism for regulating body homeostasis. As an important biological characteristic of tumors, energy metabolic reprogramming redefines the flux of energy and substances in the metabolic network, and provides energy and substances for the occurrence and development of tumors.Based on the theory of yin fire in traditional Chinese medicine,a pathological model of energy and fire disorder is built from a holistic perspective, which profoundly summarizes the instability changes of the interaction between energy and metabolism.Based on the performance of both energy and fire in the energy and metabolic regulation mechanisms at different levels,it is believed that yin fire creates conditions for the occurrence, development and metastasis of tumors. Therefore, the method of supplementing the center, raising yang, and reducing fire is recommended to revise the reprogramming of energy metabolism, and thereby providing new ideas for the clinical treatment of tumors.
