摘 要:以山西晋城地区的6种无烟煤为原料,分别采用煤焦油和羧甲基淀粉为黏结剂,经捏合、成型、炭化、水蒸气活化等步骤制备煤基柱状活性炭;采用烧失率、耐磨强度、碘值、亚甲蓝值等指标,评估活性炭制备过程原料煤理化性质与使用黏结剂类型对活性炭成孔特性的影响规律。实验结果表明,较高的原料煤变质程度和固定碳、挥发分含量有利于活性炭微孔发展;羧甲基淀粉黏结剂易于炭化形成胶体状物质,具有良好的延展性,促进活性炭骨架结构形成并强化水蒸气对活性炭孔隙结构的活化及扩增,使活性炭孔隙向微孔发展;煤焦油黏结剂较强的热稳定性限制活性炭微孔发展,制备的活性炭表现出大孔特性;以羧甲基淀粉为黏结剂可制备耐磨强度为95.3%~97.1%,碘值为1002.2~1031.0 mg/g,亚甲蓝值为222.8~259.8 mg/g的柱状活性炭。Six anthracite coals in Jincheng area of Shanxi Province as raw materials,coal tar and carboxymethyl starch as binders,coal-based columnar activated carbon(CAC)was prepared through a series of procedures,including kneading,molding,carbonization,and steam activation.Some indicators,such as ignition loss,wear resistance,iodine value,and methylene blue value,were used to evaluate the influence of the physical and chemical properties of the raw materials and the binders on the pore-forming properties of activated carbon during the preparation.The results show that:the higher metamorphic degree of raw coal and the content of fixed carbon and volatile matter are beneficial to the micropore development of the activated carbon;carboxymethyl starch binder is easy to carbonize and form a colloidal substance with good ductility,which can promote the formation of activated carbon skeleton structure and strengthen the activation and expansion of activated carbon pore structure by water vapor,enabling the micropore development of the activated carbon.On the other hand,the strong thermal stability of the coal tar binder limits the development of micropores in activated carbon.In addition,the prepared activated carbon exhibits macroporous characteristics.Using the carboxymethyl starch as the binder,the CAC can be prepared with wear resistance ranging from 95.3%to 97.1%,iodine value from 1002.2 to 1031.0 mg/g,and methylene blue value from 222.8 to 259.8 mg/g.
