摘　　要：元宇宙的爆发让图书馆人兴奋不已,但普遍面临诸多困惑,包括:究竟什么是元宇宙?元宇宙与图书馆有什么关系?元宇宙是否与过去的许多新技术概念一样,只能给图书馆带来专业刊物上的文字狂欢,而并不能真正对事业有所助益?为此,文章介绍元宇宙概念,厘清元宇宙的内在逻辑和技术基础,阐释元宇宙的由来、定义、本质和困境;从虚拟世界与真实世界的关系、本我与环境的关系两个维度探讨增强共生、镜像孪生、虚拟原生和异宇再生4种元宇宙类型的特点、功能和应用;分析图书馆如何建设元宇宙,有哪些可能的元宇宙应用;介绍上海图书馆信息化建设中的“红色骑行”“家族迁徙”“NFT读者证”“古籍区块链”等元宇宙项目。文章认为,元宇宙概念与图书馆有天然联系;作为互联网的又一次革命,元宇宙使人类古老的梦想得以具象化和易于实现;Web3.0正在为元宇宙提供技术基础,将影响到包括图书馆在内的所有行业;要全面认识元宇宙,需要具有“元宇宙思维”;未来的图书馆有望成为崭新的元宇宙平台,图书馆界需要全面了解元宇宙,抓住智慧图书馆建设契机,布局元宇宙建设蓝图。The buzzword of metaverse has inspired librarians.What exactly is the metaverse?What does it have to do with libraries?Is the metaverse,like many new technology concepts of the past,only bringing libraries a literal carnival in professional journals and doing no help on librarianship?This paper provides an in-depth introduction to the concept of metaverse,trying to clarify the inner logic and technological basis of metaverse,elaborating on its origin,definition,nature and dilemma,and arguing that the concept of metaverse has a natural connection with librarianship.As the next revolution of the Internet,metaverse makes the ancient human dream tangible and easy to realize.The rapidly emerging of Web 3.0 is providing the technological foundation for the metaverse that will affect all industries,including libraries.A comprehensive understanding of the metaverse requires a certain metaverse mindset.The paper provides a pragmatic discussion on how libraries should build metaverse,what are the possible metaverse applications,and how to develop them,and explores the Augmented Reality,Mirror World,Virtual World,and Lifelogging from two dimensions:the relationship between virtual world and real world,and the relationship between ego and environment.The characteristics,functions and applications of four metaverse types are also discussed.Based on the IT architecture project of Shanghai Library East,the authors illustrate the programs such as“Red Ride”,“Family Migration in History”,“NFT Reader’s Card”,“Blockchain of Ancient Books”,etc.,in the hope of assisting domestic libraries to well understand the metaverse,and seize the opportunity of smart library development to draw up the blueprints for metaverse as soon as possible.
