摘 要:1953年Watson和Crick借鉴Franklin 51号B型DNA衍射图提供的关键信息,成功构建出DNA双螺旋模型,这标志着遗传学和生物学进入分子时代.DNA双螺旋模型与Franklin的B型DNA衍射图都成为生命科学史上著名的经典图像,这两张图片也被许多生物教科书采用,但教科书中对51号B型DNA衍射图的解读却寥寥数语,学生难解其意,尽管有些教师用高等数学方法解析51号B型DNA衍射图,但数学基础相对薄弱的生物专业学生仍然无法理解.本文撇开高等数学,利用简约光学模拟的方法,解读51号B型DNA衍射图,为生物专业的学生提供读得懂的素材.Enlightened by Franklin′s No.51 photo of B-DNA X-ray diffraction,Watson and Crick successfully established the double helix model for DNA in 1953,which is a historical achievement marking the new era of genetic and molecular biology.Thereafter,the double helix model of DNA and Franklin′s No.51 photo of B-DNA diffraction have become the famous classic pictures of biology,and both are frequently adopted in textbooks.However,little content interpreting the Franklin′s No.51 DNA photo is provided in biology textbooks,leading biology students to be bewildered by the No.51 diffraction photo.Instead,a few teachers deciphered the No.51 DNA photo by means of calculus,but the complex calculus involved still confuses the biology students who are generally weak in calculus.In this paper,we plainly decoded the No.51 diffraction photo by the way of optical simulation without involving the complex calculus,thus the explanation is easily understood by the students.
