近代英国汉语教学的兴起与发展(下)——从《泰晤士报》(1785—1911)说起

摘　　要：本文将依据英国《泰晤士报》 (1785―1911)所载相关信息,探讨剑桥大学、曼彻斯特欧文斯学院、现代东方学校及部分民间组织开展汉语教学的基本史实,以及其兴起与发展的基本规律,以期为相关研究提供真实而客观的依据。The foregoing paper (Part I),which was published on last issue,basically summarizes the modern history of Chinese teaching and learning at University College London,King’s College London and Oxford University.Based on the reports of The Times about Chinese teaching and learning in Britain from 1785 to 1911,this following paper (Part II) continues to summarize the history of Chinese teaching at Cambridge University,Owens College,School of Modern Oriental Studies and other private organizations,and analyzes the upsurge and development of Chinese teaching and learning in the country,hoping to provide an objective and true basis for further studies.
