摘　　要：淮盐作为传统中国的财政渊薮,历来与大运河有着密切关联。大运河是淮盐运销的必经之道,借助于大运河以及众多的运盐河道,两淮盐产地才得以联结淮河、长江及其支流等大型水道,将巨量食盐运输至各处销卖,满足百姓日用与国家财政需索;大运河亦是私盐贩运的重要渠道,私盐穿过运河集散、中转,贩卖到各地。大量的食盐生产与外运,大量外来商人、游民等群体在滨海和运河交汇地带聚集,促使大运河淮扬段东翼形成了相应的商贸与生活中心,带动了两淮盐区城镇的繁荣与文化勃兴。As the traditional financial pillar of China,the salt industry of the Huai River region depends on the Grand Canal,which is indispensible for the transportation and distribution of salt.The Grand Canal and its subsidiary rivers connect the Huai River,Yangtze River and their tributaries and salt fields,facilitating the transportation and retailing,meeting the daily demands of the people.The salt industry is an important tax source for the government.The waterways also carried the smuggled salt to various regions of China.The production and distribution of salt,the gathering of merchants and migrants have propelled the formation of the status of east Huaiyang section of the Grand Canal as the center of business and life,promoting the prosperity of economy and culture.
