摘 要:强流离子源是高功率中性束注入系统的关键部件,其长脉冲稳定运行是目前的挑战之一。针对热阴极离子源的工作原理,分析了强流离子源的运行特性。针对强流离子源的打火问题,开展了基于打火再起的自调整技术研究,即在离子源发生异常(如打火)时及时终止离子源的束引出从而保护离子源的安全,在随后百毫秒下重新进行离子束的引出,从而获得强流离子源的长脉冲运行。在兆瓦级强流离子源上开展了基于打火再起技术的运行测试,获得了兆瓦级离子束27 s长脉冲稳定运行,为高功率的离子源长脉冲运行提供支持。[Background]The high power ion source is the one of the key components of a neutral beam injection system.Long pulse operation of ion source is required for fusion sciences research,but challenges come from the easy break down when operated with long pulse and high power.[Propose]This study aims to optimize the control and operation of ion source to achieve long pulse operation.[Methods]Based on the beam re-turn on technology,an ion source self-adjusting method was developed.It included the optimization of ion source control logic,power supply system and interlock system.Operation characteristic of high power ion source was analyzed,and the key parameters of ion source operation was real-time monitored to find the abnormal conditions.The high current ion source was tested with beam re-turn on from one time only to several times for long pulse operation.[Results&Conclusions]The high power ion source is tested with beam re-turn on technology and achieves 27 s beam duration with one megawatts beam power successfully.The successful application of beam re-turn on technology in this study provides support for long pulse operation of high-power ion source.
