摘 要:学界一直以来强调鲁迅留日时期“剪辫”“弃医从文”的革命性,却忽视鲁迅“务实”精神的作用。剪辫的革命性主要来自于其危险性,当危险性被削弱后其革命性就只能来自于剪辫者主观革命意识。鲁迅具备的务实精神使他不为辫子带来的非物质问题困扰,鲁迅剪辫是因为在学习柔道的过程中感受到辫子在物质层面带来的不便。鲁迅“弃医从文”也是因为要避免在科学救国上浪费时间,以便于在文学救国上投注精力。正是“务实精神”促成了鲁迅踏上文学救国的道路。The academia has long interpreted Lu Xun’s“braid-cutting”and“engaging in literature while abandoning medicine”during his stay in Japan as revolutionary,overlooking the effect of pragmatism on his action.Cutting the braid was revolutionary mainly because it was dangerous at that time;however,it was revolutionary mainly because of the revolutionary consciousness of the people who cut it when it was less dangerous.Lu Xun’s pragmatism enabled him not to be troubled by the immaterial problems posed by the braids.He cut his braid because he felt the inconvenience of braids on a material level when he was learning Judo.Lu Xun also abandoned medicine for literature because he wanted to avoid wasting time so as to devote himself to saving the nation through literature.It was this pragmatic spirit that led Lu Xun to embark on the path of saving the nation through literature.
