摘　　要：唐代传奇小说在后世之名称以“唐小说”和“传奇”为主,今人往往只注重后者,而忽视前者。事实上在宋代,“唐小说”一词常作为唐传奇的代名词而使用,“传奇”则多指裴铏《传奇》一书。明清以降,“传奇”既可指唐代传奇小说,又可指明清戏曲文体,而“唐小说”此时仍然作为唐代传奇小说代名词而出现,这一共存的状态一直延续至民国。20世纪20年代后,随着小说史学科的成熟,“传奇”作为唐代传奇小说的称谓由此而确定,与之形成鲜明对比的是,“唐小说”一词只是偶现,这一变化与民国小说观念的改易密不可分,其中鲁迅的影响至关重要。The legendary novels of the Tang Dynasty are mainly named“Tang Novels”and“Legends”in later generations.Today,people often only pay attention to the latter and ignore the former.In fact,in the Song Dynasty,the term“Fictions of Tang Dynasty”was often used as a synonym for the legend of Tang Dynasty,and“legendary”mostly referred to the book“Legend”by Pei Chong.Since the Ming and Qing Dynasties,“Legend”can refer to both the legendary novels of the Tang Dynasty and the style of Qing opera.At this time,“Tang Novels”still appeared as the pronoun of the legendary novels of the Tang Dynasty,and this coexistence state continued until the Republic of China.After the 1920s,with the maturity of the history of fiction,the title of“Legend”as a legendary novel in the Tang Dynasty was determined accordingly.In sharp contrast,the term“Tang Novel”was only an occasional change.It is inseparable from the changes in the concept of novels in the Republic of China,and the influence of Lu Xun is very important.
