摘　　要：成书于清雍正初年的《姚氏世谱》,为明清时期江南望族平湖姚氏唯一的族谱完书,可谓备受瞩目。然而由于修撰者态度不够审慎,工作草率,致使该书存在字号错乱、行辈错乱、脱字衍字、人名前后不一、有悖常理、编排体例不统一、同音字误代等问题,虽说瑕不掩瑜,但诚为美中不足,而有指正之必要。Yao’s Genealogy,printed in the early years of Yongzheng in the Qing Dynasty,is the only genealogy of Yao’s family in Pinghu,a famous family in Jiangnan during the Ming and Qing Dynasties,which has attracted much attention.However,due to the lack of prudence and hasty work of the compilers,there are some problems in the book,such as the confusion of font size,the confusion of lines and generations,the separation of characters,the inconsistency of people’s names,the violation of common sense,the inconsistency of arrangement style,the wrong generation of homonyms and so on.Although the defects do not hide the shortcomings,they are the fly in the ointment,and it is necessary to correct them.
