摘　　要：莫高窟第491窟是1965年新发现的一个底层洞窟,窟内主尊塑像的尊格可能是地藏菩萨,主尊塑像两侧胁侍塑像可能分别是善童子和恶童子,反映了敦煌北宋至西夏时期的地藏信仰。Mogao Cave 491 is a cave on the ground level of the Dunhuang cave complex discovered in 1965 that contains several previously unidentified statues.This research proposes that the main statue in the cave likely represents Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva,while the two statues flanking this one are likely the two children in Buddhism in charge of recording good and evilacts.This combination of statuary clearly reflects the belief in Ksitigarbha popular in Dunhuang from the Northern Song to the Western Xia dynasty.
