摘　　要：现代民族国家的制度性建立,使得爱国主义成为最重要的现代政治理念与政治价值之一。然而,民族概念在历史变迁中经历的巨大演变,以及民族国家在不同社会文化中建设实践的不同侧重,不仅使得民族观念呈现多样性特征,而且导致以此为基础的爱国主义也面临诸多挑战。其中,狭隘的民族观念和民族国家意识往往构成爱国主义饱受误解和批评的原因。作为当代中国实践和理论的产物,中华民族共同体的提出为包括中国在内的现代多民族国家的爱国主义实践提供了新的方案,奠定了新的政治哲学基础,有利于我们在重新审视民族观念与民族国家问题的基础上,更恰当地理解爱国主义的定位和功能。With the foundation of modern nation-state,patriotism becomes one of the most important political ideas and values.However,the concept of nation has been evolving and got different characteristics,which brings patriotism many challenges.Especially the narrow understanding of nation and the national consciousness caused the misunderstanding of patriotism.The conception of a Community for the Chinese Nation is based on the practical and theoretical experience of China,which offers a new perspective of understanding patriotism,thus helps us make sense of the value and function of patriotism more appropriately.
