摘　　要：史蒂芬?霍金是英国享有国际盛誉的理论物理学家,著名科学散文作家,他的5部科学散文蕴含着科学精神、科学方法、科学社会学意识等丰富而发人深省的科学哲学理念。这些理念不仅是霍金取得巨大科学成就和获得世界性声誉的关键因素,而且大大增加了其科学散文的深厚度,这些是作品获得广大读者青睐的重要原因。这些意蕴对我国的科技发展、创新型社会建设以及科学散文创作都具有重要启示意义。Stephen Hawking is a British theoretical physicist with a high international reputation.Besides,he is also a famous science writer and his five scientific essays contain thought-provoking ideas of philosophy of science,such as scientific spirit,scientific method,and consciousness of scientific sociology.These ideas not only contribute greatly to Hawking's remarkable achievements in science and to his worldwide reputation,but also enhance the depth and horizon of his scientific essays,making these works popular among readers.These ideas have significant implications for China's development of science and technology,construction of innovation-oriented society,and creation of science writing.
