摘  要:本研究以40名英语专业学生的80篇限时看图作文为语料,考察叙事任务的两个维度(故事线索和叙事结构)对写作语言复杂度、准确度和流利度的影响。研究发现:1)在线索维度上,相比只有一条故事线索的叙事任务,两条故事线索的叙事任务中学习者使用的词汇和句法结构更加复杂;2)在叙事结构维度上,紧凑型叙事任务中学习者的语言准确度显著高于松散型叙事任务。研究结果可从写作认知加工机制加以解释:不同任务类型引导学习者将注意力分配到写作的不同方面,因而对其写作表现的影响也各不相同。研究结果对任务型教学和测试有一定启示。Using 80 picture-describing compositions by 40 English majors as a research corpus,this study examines the effects of two dimensions of the narrative task(story line complexity and task structure)on EFL learners’written performance in terms of complexity,accuracy and fluency.Results reveal that(1)on the story line complexity dimension,narratives involving two story lines gave rise to more complex lexis and syntax than those of only one story line;and(2)on the task structure dimension,narratives with a tight structure were associated with more accurate language than those with a loose structure.The results can be explained by the cognitive mechanism in writing,i.e.,different task types operate to allocate learners’attention to different aspects of language use,thus affecting their writing performance in different ways.Implications of the present study are also discussed for task-based language teaching and testing.
