摘　　要：常州西太湖揽月湾观测塔是一座高度约98 m的高耸建筑,共20层,总建筑面积为2730.6m^(2),上部钢结构采用钢框架-中心支撑结构体系。其主要用途为常州花博会游客的登高观光场所,塔身顶部设有观光球,球体直径21 m,塔身周边设有三片钢结构四管桁架月牙造型,在中部与塔体相连形成整体,并同时作为塔体的支撑共同参与抗侧。在充分展现建筑造型的前提下,通过合理地连接塔身与结构月牙内侧弦杆,使月牙结构与塔身共同承受水平力,提高了结构的抗侧能力。本项目较为出色地实现了结构与建筑造型的合理统一,也达到了较好的结构性能,使观测塔成为西太湖畔一颗耀眼的明珠。Changzhou West Taihu Lake LanYue Bay Observation Tower is a 98 metre height towering building with twenty floors and 2730.6 squares metres total floor area.The upper steel structure adopts steel frame-central support structural system.This tower provides a location for tourists to climb up to the sightseeing ball with a 21 metre diameter on the top of the tower to veiw the Changzhou Flower Expo.There are three steel strucure crescents around the tower to support the tower and work as a huge brace under the function of horizontal force.Under the precondition of showing the architectual styling,the inner string rods of crescent were connected with the tower to bear the horizontal force and improve the capacity of lateral force resistance.In this project,a rational balance between structure and architectual styling was carried out wonderfully together with an excellent structual performance.The tower becomes a dazzling pearl beside the West Taihu Lake.
