摘　　要：美国著名作家约翰·斯坦贝克在小说《菊花》中讨论了男权社会中女性的地位与个人价值。女主人公伊莉莎是一个热爱生活、向往自由和追求浪漫爱情的家庭主妇,但在追求自由的过程中,遭到了社会的深深打击,反映了当时社会中女性的个人价值和话语权的缺失。John Steinbeck, a famous American writer, discusses the status and personal value of women in a patriarchal society in his novel chrysanthemum. Eliza, the heroine, is a housewife who loves life, yearns for freedom and pursues romantic love, but in the process of pursuing freedom, she is deeply hit by the society, which reflects the lack of women’s personal value and discourse power in the society at that time.
