Tanshishan Culture is one of the classical archaeological cultures that was located in the coast of Southeast China during the late Neolithic Age.Because of the lacking plant remains evidence, for a long time the details of planting agriculture in Tanshishan Culture have not been known. In 2019,the phytolith evidence about rice-millet mixed cultivation was found in Baitoushan Site firstly. In order to understand the development level and the distribution route of planting agriculture during this time, this paper analyzed four soil samples that belonged to three Tanshishan Cultural relics excavated in Tanshishan Site in 2004 and 2009 respectively. The evidences about planting rice and millet also were found from these phyllosilicate analysis samples. The development of planting agriculture during the Tanshishan Culture not only helps to explore the role of the Fujian region in the spread of rice and millet crops to Taiwan,South China and even Southeast Asia, but also provides important clues to the evolution and destination of the later Tanshishan Culture.
