摘　　要：槟榔是一种被广泛食用的佳果,果皮和种子均可入药,是我国名贵的“四大南药”之一。研究报道槟榔含有生物碱、多酚、黄酮、萜类等多种化学成分,具有促消化、降血压、抗抑郁、抗氧化、抗炎、抗寄生虫和抑菌等活性。为了充分开发利用槟榔,加快槟榔研究的现代化进程,对槟榔的本草考证、化学成分及药理作用进行综述,以期为槟榔的现代化研究和安全合理使用提供参考。The fruitage of Areca catechu is not only a kind of great fruit widely eaten to welcome guests,but also its peels and seeds can be used as medicines.Areca catechu is one of the four precious"Southern Medicine"in China.Modern studies have shown thatAreca catechu contains alkaloids,polyphenols,flavonoids,terpenoids and other chemical constituents.It has multiple activities in promoting digestion,lowering blood pressure and anti-depressant,anti-oxidation,anti-inflammatory,anti-parasitic and bacteriostatic activities etc.In order to make full use of A.catechu and speed up the modernization process of Areca catechu research,this article reviews the modern research progress of Areca catechu’s herbal textual research,chemical constituents and pharmacological effects,hoping to provide reference for modern research and safe and reasonable use of Areca catechu.
