摘　　要：近代博物院(馆)作为新兴文化教育机构从西方引入中国,被赋予普及科学、传播知识、开启民智、富国强民之使命。天津博物院从文物典藏、展览陈列、学术交流、宣传教育等方面践行博物院的社会教育职能,与学校教育互为补充,相得益彰,为“开民智、陶民德、扬民力”探索前进。As a new cultural and educational institution,the modern museum was introduced to China from the West,and was given the mission of popularizing science,disseminating knowledge,opening up the people’s wisdom,and enriching the country and strengthening the people.Tianjin Museum implements the museum’s social education functions from cultural relics collection,exhibitions,academic exchanges,publicity and education,and complements school education,and explores and advances for“enlightening people’s wisdom,cultivating people’s morals,and promoting people’s strength.”
