现代派艺术的箭靶——被“封印”的19世纪学院派画家卡巴内尔

摘  要:19世纪末至20世纪初,现代派艺术风起云涌,卡巴内尔一直被当作古板、单调、落后的学院派权威,成为被攻击的箭靶,逐渐被艺术史所淡化,甚至封印。卡巴内尔被封印的原因既有他绘画自身的局限性,又有来自于当时学院派与艺术批评的影响,还有后世艺术史家书写时厚此薄彼的选择等多种原因。本文通过对卡巴内尔被封印原因的分析,厘清了卡巴内尔艺术的价值,如折中主义的倾向、浪漫主义情感和色彩、画面中的装饰感、肖像画中所呈现着感性之美等,凸显了卡巴内尔对美的把握与对主题的演绎和升华,重建了卡巴内尔应有的艺术史地位。From the end of the 19th century to the beginning of the 20th century, modernist art spread like a storm. Always regarded as a rigid, monotonous and backward academic authoritative painter, Alexandre Cabanel became an attacked target so that he had gradually been understated by art history or even sealed. The reasons why Cabanel was sealed include the limitations of his paintings, the influence of academism and art criticism at that time, as well as the choice of favoring one over the other when later art historians wrote. By analyzing why Cabanel was sealed, this paper clarifies the value of Cabanel’s art, such as the tendency of eclecticism, romanticism, sense of decoration in the picture and the perceptual beauty in the portrait, etc. It highlights Cabanel’s grasp of beauty and the interpretation and sublimation of the theme and reconstructs Cabanel’s rightful place in art history.
