《中华人民共和国领海及毗连区法》英译探析

摘　　要：本文就《中华人民共和国领海及毗连区法》汉英译本中的翻译规范问题,对照《联合国海洋法公约》《加拿大海洋法》英国《海洋与海岸带准入法》等权威英语法律文本的用词和句法特点,根据法律翻译原则,提出该法英译本中存在三个问题:1)用词欠准确;2)逻辑欠清晰;3)句法欠通约。经过分析,提出了相应解决对策:1)套用英语国家海洋法律的惯用术语;2)译语根据源语信息重构明晰的语句逻辑框架;3)译文句法模仿英语国家海洋法文本。The paper discusses the English translation of the Law of the People′s Republic of China on the Territorial Sea and Contiguous Zone.It refers to the lexical and syntactic features of authoritative legal documents such as United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea,Oceans Act of Canada and Marine and Coastal Access Act 2009 of the United Kingdom.Three typical problems are found in the English version of the Law,namely inaccurate wording,unclear logical structure,and inconsistent syntax.And the following suggestions are proposed:(1)apply the standard terminology;(2)reconstruct a clear logical framework of statements;(3)imitate the syntactic expressions of foreign maritime laws.
