摘  要:本文基于“全球本土化”的观点,分析了语言景观中的语码使用特征及其影响因素。研究以广州市两大历史文化街区的店名标牌为样本,重点探究了语码混合的分布特征以及一些“特殊”语码的功能。“全球本土化”强调本土特征对全球化的反馈作用,兼具全球化视野和民族文化精神。分析结果验证了在不同历史文化街区的语言景观中,母语(汉语)是主要语码,国际通用语(英语)语码次之。但是,在两个历史文化街区的语言景观中,英语的空间分布差异较大,且“全球本土化”特征明显,即不同语言或方言的语码混合共存现象比较普遍,而且多语标牌语码大多以模糊语码边界的杂糅形式呈现。粤语方言通过汉字表音、汉语拼音及粤语拼音等方式附着于主要语码中,实现了其本土文化的符号建构。本研究揭示了多语背景下语言景观中不同语码的分布、特征和功能,可以为探究语码混合机制提供参考。This paper investigates the codes of different languages including their dialects and varieties in linguistic landscapes in two historical and cultural streets of Guangzhou from the perspective of glocalization.The data were particularly collected from the shop name signs along the two streets.The forms of code-mixing and functions of some special codes such as traditional forms of Chinese characters,Pinyin and Cantonese are specifically examined.The results reveal that in the linguistic landscapes of different historical and cultural districts,the native language (Chinese) is used as the first dominant code whereas the international language (English) is the second dominant code.Overall,the linguistic landscapes of the two survey areas differ significantly in the distribution of English and exhibit an evident feature of glocalization,i.e.,it is common to mix the codes from different languages or dialects,and multilingual signs are mostly displayed in the hybridized forms blurring the code boundaries.The Cantonese dialect contests for the symbolic construction of the local identity by means of attaching itself to the main codes in the forms of phonetic transcriptions with Chinese characters,Chinese pinyin or “Cantonese pinyin”.The results of this study shed light on the code use of linguistic landscape in terms of its distribution,characteristics and functions,as well as on the mechanism of code mixing in the multilingual context.
