摘 要:大卫·洛温塔尔的家庭背景和跨学科教育经历促使其对遗产的研究追求人文知识和科学知识的统一。他的研究方法源于其在地理学、历史学训练中发展出的关系性思维,及其家庭的公共知识分子传统。更具体地说,洛温塔尔的知识论建立在对遗产和与遗产相应行动的解构性阐释上,这意味着“遗产”不再是一个先验的存在,它是被社会和文化建构起来的,是相互关联的社会文化关系的一种展现。David Lowenthal’s family background and interdisciplinary educational experience led him to pursue the unity of humanities and scientific knowledge in heritage studies.His research methods stemmed from his relational thinking developed in his training in geography and history,as well as the public intellectual tradition of his family.More specifically,Lowenthal’s epistemology is based on a deconstructive interpretation of heritage and its corresponding practices,which means that "heritage" is no longer an a priori existence.To him, "heritage" is socially and culturally constructed,and it is a manifestation of interconnected socio-cultural relations.
