论史念海先生对中国历史地理学的开拓与贡献

摘　　要：从学科理论和学术观点角度,综述史念海先生对中国历史地理学的开拓与贡献。认为史先生推动了沿革地理学向历史地理学的转变,奠定了中国历史地理学科体系,提出符合中国国情的历史地理学研究任务,并以黄河流域为中心开拓历史自然地理研究;疆域与政区沿革研究方法超出乾嘉传统,在历史人口地理领域提出人口稠密地区概念,在历史经济地理领域提出农牧分界线概念,首次对古运河进行系统研究,开辟农业地理研究方向,在历史城市地理领域重视经济都会和都城研究,创建中国古都学,在历史军事地理领域对长城的研究形成特色,在历史文化地理领域倡导古都文化和人物地理研究,推动地名学研究,在历史文献、历史地图和方志学领域也多有建树,为我们留下了宝贵丰富的学术遗产。With the perspective on theories and viewpoints,this paper reviews that Professor Shi Nianhai’s contribution to the initiation of Chinese Historical Geography.Prof.Shi promoted the Chinese Evolutionary Geography to Historical Geography,laying the foundation of Chinese Historical Geography system and proposingits research assignments in line with China’s national conditions.He was the pioneer to research on the Yellow River basin in Historical Physiography and innovated the research methods on the changes of territory and administrative areas.In Chinese Historical Population Geography,he came up with the concept of densely populated regions.In Historical Economic Geography,he proposed the concept of demarcation line between agriculture and animal husbandry,as well as carried out the systematic research on ancient canal and Chinese historical agricultural geography.In Historical Urban Geography,he emphasized on the research of economic city and capital,establishing the study on China’s Ancient Capitals.In Historical Military Geography,his research on the Great Wall was characteristic.In Historical Cultural Geography,he proposed the research on the ancient culture in capital and geographical distribution of intellectuals.Besides,he had achievements on historical toponymy,maps and Chorography,leaving a valuable and rich academic legacy for us.
