摘　　要：China's first sea-crossing high-speed railway under construction in Xiamen,Fujian Province,on August 30.Laying of the 277-km track was completed that morning.The new railway,which links Fuzhou,the provincial capital,with the port city Xiamen,is dotted with three super bridges that allow it to run across bays.Scheduled to open in 2023 with a designed speed of 350 km per hour,it will boost connectivity among cities on the southeast coast.
