摘　　要：道德伦理问题一直是乔治·艾略特作品的核心问题之一。乔治·艾略特在《织工马南》中,对人物进行了深刻的心理观察和分析,刻画了主人公马南触犯的伦理禁忌、乡绅之子高德夫雷做出的伦理背叛等,将他们置于伦理混乱中。由于两人不同的伦理选择,最终获得不同的伦理身份和不同的人生结局。对伦理和道德怀有强烈关照的艾略特,最终通过马南的伦理救赎强调了以爱和奉献为基础而产生的生命感知和伦理关系对人的救赎作用。Ethics has always been one of the core issues in George Eliot’s works.In Silas Marner,George Eliot makes a deep psychological observation and analysis of the characters,depicts the ethical taboos violated by the protagonist Silas Marner and the ethical betrayal made by Godfrey,the son of the squire,and puts them in ethical chaos.Because of their different ethical choices,they finally get different ethical identities and different life outcomes.Eliot,who has a strong concern for ethics and morality,finally through Marner’s ethical redemption emphasizes that people can be redeemed by the perception of life and ethical relationship based on love and dedication.
