“修辞立其诚”内涵流变及对汉语修辞学和修辞实践的影响

摘　　要：“修辞立其诚”如何客观解读,学界认识并不一致,综合各家说法,大致可以理解为“(更好地)修整(或修治)语辞(包括言语和文辞)以有效表达真意建立诚信”。“修辞立其诚”作为一种观点,在文学、哲学、辞章学、翻译学等诸多学科中得到进一步阐释,发生了内涵流变。作为汉语修辞学的重要学科命题,引发了系列讨论,如“修辞立其诚”是否为汉语修辞学的学科之源、“修辞”实践是否必须遵循“立诚”原则等。作为名言熟语,在言语实践中被广泛引用,以展示古文功底和文采,增强言语表现力和说服力,但大多仅就字面理解为写作之法或为人之道,这种修辞实践可看作“语言文字的一切可能性”的主观发挥和充分利用。The original meaning of “Xiu Ci Li Qi Cheng” are not consistent in academic circles. Based on various opinions, this sentence can be roughly understood as “(better) modify(or adjust) expressions(including spoken and written language) to effectively express the sincerity and honesty”. As a point of view, “Xiu Ci Li Qi Cheng” has been further explained in many disciplines, such as literature, philosophy, the art of spoken and written language, translatology and so on. As an important subject proposition of Chinese rhetoric, it has triggered a series of discussions, such as whether “Xiu Ci Li Qi Cheng” is the source of Chinese rhetoric research,whether it is one of the rhetoric principles, and whether the practice of “Xiu Ci” must follow the principle of “Cheng”. As a famous saying or idiom of the ancients, it is widely cited in specific speech practice to show the literary skills and talent of the expresser and enhance the expressiveness and persuasiveness of speech. However, most of them are literally understood as the method of writing or the way of being a man, which deviates from its original meaning. This rhetorical practice can be regarded as the use of "all possibilities of language".
