摘　　要：英语幽默是英语语言的精华和重要组成部分,了解幽默的生成机制对我们的交际行为具有重要的指导意义。文章以语用原则的指示语和预设理论为基础,通过对英语幽默故事实例的分析,探讨了语用原则与英语幽默生成的内在联系,从而深刻地了解英语幽默,并丰富英语语言学习者的文化、语言和社会知识,在实践中更有效地理解和使用语言。English humor is the essence and an important part of the English language.Understanding the generation mechanism of humor has important guiding significance for our communicative behavior.Based on deixis and presupposition theory of the pragmatic principle,this paper discusses the intrinsic relationship between the pragmatic principle and the English humor generation,to get a deeper understanding of English humor,so as to enrich the learner’s culture,language and society knowledge,and to understand and use the language more effectively in practice.
