摘 要:本文通过语音感知实验,以第二语言为英语、第三语言为汉语的日语母语者为研究对象,考察日语母语者辨认日语元音/?/,英语元音■、/u/,汉语元音/u/的能力。实验发现,被试已基本具备辨认日语元音/?/与英语元音■、/u/,日语元音/?/与汉语元音/u/的能力,但存在混淆英语元音■、/u/与汉语元音/u/的问题,说明三语学习者有能力建立新的语音范畴,但二语若与三语具有相似性,二语与三语的语音感知范畴会形成一定重合。By means of speech perception test,this study investigates the perception of Japanese vowel/?/,English vowels/u/,/u/,and Chinese vowel/u/by trilingual learners,aiming to examine the influence of experiences with both first and second language.The subjects were native Japanese speakers whose second languages was English and the third language was Chinese Mandarin.The results revealed that the trilingual learners were able to discriminate the vowel pairs of Japanese vowel/?/,respectively.However,the participants were confused when they were required to distinguish the vowel pairs of English vowels/u/,/u/and the Chinese vowel/u/.The study,therefore,demonstrates that trilingual learners have the ability to build new phonetic categories.Whereas,if L2 is similar to L3,there could be an overlap between the phonetic categories of the two languages.
