邓之诚日记中的吴兴华--兼及作家传记文献的拓展与限度

摘　　要：吴兴华是近年来被“发掘”出来的诗人、学者、翻译家,一个未完成的传奇式人物。由于其自传类文献的保存有限,如何更广泛地搜罗各类文献,构建一个更丰富的吴兴华传记形象,是一个亟待解决、同时充满难度的问题。循着“燕京大学”这一吴兴华人生图景中的重要关键词,从历史系邓之诚教授的日记中辑出的时间跨度较大的相关记载,不同程度地显现了吴兴华所处的时代气息、校园氛围以及其个人遭遇、阅读小史与相关人物关系等议题。这是吴兴华传记文献的一种重要拓展,但基于日记本身的属性、作者的史学家身份等方面因素,文献也有其限度。唯有尽可能克服文献的限度,方能给出更全面的研究成果,获得更丰满的传记形象。Wu Xinghua is a modern poet,scholar and translator who has been“discovered”in recent years,and considered as an unfinished“legendary”figure.In view of the limited autobiographical documents on him,how to collect different kinds of documents more extensively and build a more complete biographical image of Wu Xinghua is an urgent but difficult problem to be solved.By tracing“Yenching University”,the key word of Wu Xinghua’s life picture,the relevant records with a wide span of time compiled from the diary of Professor Deng Zhicheng of the department of history show the spirit of the times in which Wu Xinghua lived,the campus atmosphere,the personal experience,reading history and the relevant relationships.This is an important expansion of Wu Xinghua’s biographical literature,but there are also limitations due to the attributes of the diary itself,the status of the author as a historian,and other factors.Only by overcoming as many limitations in literature as possible and maintaining proper knowledge literacy,can we provide more comprehensive research results and a more complete biographical image of Wu Xinghua.
