With the increasing aging of population, the incidence rate of osteoporosis is increasing year by year.Prevention and cure of it has become a social problem that can not be neglected.Based on the theory of viscera, traditional Chinese medicine treats osteoporosis from the spleen and kidney. The curative effect is remarkable, but its mechanism has not been fully elucidated.Ancient Chinese medicine records that spleen and kidney can affect the physiological function of intestines.Modern studies have also found that the spleen and kidney are closely related to the stability of intestinal microecology, and existing studies have found that there is a close relationship between gut microbiota and osteoporosis. This paper, starting from gut microbiota, expounds the relationship between spleen and kidney and osteoporosis, hoping to provide an important reference for the mechanism research of treating primary osteoporosis from spleen and kidney.
