The main mineral phases of AOD slag are CS and CS,which have potential cementitious activity. Stainless steel sulfuric pickling process will produce a large amount of pickling sludge, which contains a high content of CaSO, so there may be a retarder similar to gypsum. The cement cementitious material was prepared from AOD slag after high-temperature firing and pickling sludge. The mineral composition and microstructure of the cementitious material were analyzed by XRD and SEM, the hydration mechanism was analyzed by TG-DTA, and the compression resistance and chromium curing properties were analyzed by means of compression test and ICP respectively. The results showed that the pickling sludge could play the role of retarder in cement hydration, and effectively regulated the initial and final setting time. The 28 day compressive strength of AOD-slag cement could reach 109.61 MPa, which met the strength standard of PC42.5 cement. The cement slurry material could effectively reduce the leaching of chromium and make it lower than the leaching standard of chromium in hazardous waste.
