区域一体化能否提高资本生产率?——来自中国长三角城市经济协调会扩容的准自然实验

摘　　要：区域一体化是推动区域经济发展的重要战略,在经济增长模式由投资驱动转向创新驱动背景下,分析区域一体化对资本生产率的影响是评估区域一体化战略的重要视角。构建“区域一体化—创新创业活动—资本生产率”作用机制,基于长三角城市经济协调会扩容的准自然实验,结合中国城市层面相关数据,利用多期双重差分模型,实证分析区域一体化对资本生产率的影响效应。研究发现:第一,在全国层面,区域一体化能够提高资本生产率,特别是在产业结构水平较高地区和资本存量较低地区,区域一体化能够显著提高资本生产率;第二,区域一体化会通过激发创新创业活动渠道提高资本生产率。Regional integration is an important strategy to promote regional economic development.With economic growth model shifting from being investment-driven to innovation-driven,analyzing the impact of regional integration on capital productivity is an important perspective for evaluating regional integration strategies.This paper constructs an influence mechanism of‘regional integration—innovative and entrepreneurship activities—capital productivity’.Based on the expansion quasi-natural experiment of the Yangtze River Delta City Economic Coordination Association,combined with relevant data at the city level in China,it uses a multi-period difference-in-difference model to empirically analyze the impact of regional integration on capital productivity.Results show that regional integration can increase capital productivity at national level.Especially in regions with higher industrial structure and lower capital stock,regional integration can significantly increase capital productivity.Also,regional integration will improve capital productivity by stimulating the innovation and entrepreneurship activities.
