论约翰·欧文小说中的《圣经》原型

摘　　要：约翰·欧文是美国当代知名作家,其多部作品具有丰富的圣经元素,其中《直到找到你》和《为欧文·米尼祈祷》两部作品中丰富的《圣经》原型传达出浓厚的圣经文化气息。从圣经文化传统出发,在原型批评理论的观照下,整体把握作品的叙事结构特点,分析反复出现的意象、置换变形后的人物变体,发现作者通过意象移植和圣经人物变体来揭示宽恕与博爱可以照亮人间善恶,帮助受伤的人们走出困境,从而实现精神救赎与新生,充分解读其深厚文化寓意和丰富主题意蕴。John Irving is a famous contemporary American Novelist,with several works rich in the Biblical elements,among which,Until I Find You and Pray for Owen Meany are bound of Biblical Prototype which conveys strong Biblical spirit.Regarded in the Biblical cultural tradition,with the perspective of archetypal critical theory,the structure of these two works is discussed;the repeated images and the transformed figures are analyzed fully,through which the author achieved the goals of revealing the truth that forgiveness and philanthropy can light up human’s situation and help people climb out of plight,and of helping people obtain salvation and a new life.All of these entail the profound cultural implications and various themes of these two works.
