摘　　要：这座剧院立面的砖红色调与它周边的老建筑颜色十分相似,但是建筑材料却完全不同:由乔纳森·塔基设计公司新建的校园剧院非常适合英格兰南部纽伯里哈里斯高中整体的建筑风貌。校园占地34ha,大约130名4至13岁的男孩参观了这所私立学校。大卫·布朗洛剧院以它的赞助商的名字命名,他也是一位商人和前保守党副主席。剧院就坐落在校园主干道的旁边。因为它有着角度平缓的坡屋顶以及覆盖着水泥刨花板的外立面,所以这座新建筑给人的第一印象并不像剧院,反而更像一座农用建筑物。With brick red hues similar to its older neighbours,yet clad in a completely different material:The new school theatre by Jonathan Tuckey Design fits into the building ensemble of Horris High School in Newbury in southern England very well.About 130 boys ages 4to13visited theprivateschool surroundedbya 34ha school campus.The David Brownlow Theatre-named after its patron,a businessman and former Tory vice president-is situated right next to the campus access road.Ata first glance,it is reminiscent more of an agricultural structure than a theatre,due to its slightly pitched gable roof and its facade cladding made of cement-bonded particle board.Consisting of the same material,vertical lesenes similar to protruding fins rhythmically structure the facade surfaces。
