摘　　要：滇金丝猴为我国一级保护动物,也属世界珍稀灵长类。其种群数量、分布区域等尚少深入全面的调查。1985~1986年笔者在横断山脉中段,对此进行了考察,现就有关数量、分布、栖息生境及食性等报道如下。This paper is a brief report about our survey of distribution,numbsr and food habit of the Yunnan snub-nosed monkey(R.bieti)during 1985-1986.The distribution of the Yunnan snub-nosed monkey is extraordinary narrow,it locates between 98°61’-99°81’cast longitude and 26°31’-30°00’north latitude and belongs to the Yun Ling mountain of the middle part of the transverse montainuous range geographically.In regard to the administrative division it occupies 5 counties:The chin Wei-shi,Lan-ping,Gen-chuan and likiang of Yunnan province and one county,Mangkong of Tibet.The snub-nosed monkey groups live in primeval forests of the above nen-tioned area and inhabit at an altitude of 3200-4200m,according to the data of our investigation,there are eleven groups of snub-nosed monkey in this district with individuals from 19-150 for each group.The total number of individuals alive at present is about 800-900.The density is 1.12-2.5 individuals/KM2.R.bieti is mainly feeding on tender and delicat green leaves with slightly acidic taste.The sweet and slightly acidic fruits or berries and seeds rich in potentia energy are favorite food for R.bieti during summer and autumn.Snub-nosed monkey take more than twenty species of plants as eatable food.They take food three times each day and spent 7.3 hours for taking food,that occupies more than 70%of their daily activities.Projects supported by the science fund of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
