Zorotypus sinensis Huang 1974 was the first record of Zoraptcra in China, and Z. medoensis Huang was recorded in 1976. The two species were collected from the districts of Zayu and Medoq of the southeastern Xizana;during 1973- 1976. There are 27 species of Zoraptcra known. Most of them arc distributed over the tropical rain-forest and monsoon-forest regions between the Tropic of Capricon and Tropic of Caner. Geographically speaking, the entire Zoraptera order have an extensive distribution. Bat the distributional ranges of different species of this order are rather limited. This phenomenon indicated that the Zorapterous insects arc, not capable oi wide disperion. AH the ZOrapterous itrsects living on an island undoubtedly belong to a species peculiar to that island. The origin and evolution of the insects of this order are related to geographical continental changes Wegener’s theory of continental drifts proposes that the present continental pattern is the result of continental drifts over a long period of time. On the base of this theory, the Zorapterous insects have undoubtedly a common origin. Their ancestries might have stemmed from a single continent-Pengaea. People may explore the relation among the continents and islands, according to paleontologic record, to the divergence degree of the biologic categories, to the number of the special member and to the number as well as the primitive degree of the prime member. If the insecet faunae distributed in two separate continents show similarities only with respect to the higher categories and the similar groups are primitive in origin and fewer in number, these continents could have separated at an earlier period and for a long time. When the insect faunae distributld in two continents show similarities not only in higher but also in lower categories and the genera or even species are similar to each other, these two continents could have separated at later period and for a shorter time. The continents and islands where inhabited many zorapterous insects conce
