灰脚柳莺的繁殖和种群密度的初步研究

摘　　要：灰脚柳莺(Phylloscopus tenellipes)是森林益鸟。它在世界分布较狭窄,在我国东北的中部和东南部繁殖,迁徙时途经沿海各省直至云南。我们于1964—65年和1979—80年5—7月繁殖期在长白山北坡四个林带8个植物群落(陈灵芝等,1964)对灰脚柳莺繁殖和种群密度做了调查,结果如下。Observalios were made on the breeding and population of pale-legged willow warbler at Changbai Shan,Jilin Province from May to July of 1946-1965 and 1979-1980.Results obtained are given below.l.The birds stay in Chanhbai Shan for about 150-170 days,being distributed in the three forest zones at 500-1800m above sea level,i.e.,zone of deciduous forest,mixed forest and coniferous forest.In the zone of deciduous forest,it was a dominant species from 0.13±0 to 0.38±.02 in 1964-1965 and 1979-1980.They have a preference for habitats near streams,where the number fo breeding birds is nearly the same each year.We use the diversity formula pilnpi(MacArthur,R.H.and MacArthur,J.W.,1961).In the deciduous forest near streams,diversity in the 16 years was H=0.2933 and H=0.2759.2.Both the male and female share in building their nests.Nest building lasts for 8-9 days.The nest is near stream,ball-shapep anp with opening on its side.The nest shape correlates with their position.They are mostly made of mosses,grass-stems(Alecloria americana,A.asiatica),and mammal’s piles.The measurements of nests(11)may be given as follows:height 8.0-15.5cm,depth 6.5-8.6cm.,exteunal diameten 9.Ox 10-12.2x llcm.,internal diameter 5.5 x 4.0-8.0 x 9.0cm.Only one clutch is laid every year.During the period of egg-laying,an egg is laid every day.Of 10 clutches,the average number of eggs is 4-5.The average of 14 eggs is 14 x 11.6-17.2 x 12.2mm in size and 1.9(1.5-2.3)gms in weight.The eggs arc oval in shape,white in color with no specks.The last egg is always the smallest one.Only female parents arc engaged in incubation.The incubation period lasts for 14-16 dyas.The percentage of hatching averages 60-80%.3.The female feeds the young alone.She makes a total of 205 visits to the nest every day.The period of feeding the young lasts for 13-15 days.The average natality is 52.9%.4.The food taken by the young consists entirely of insects.The female brings back about 1020 gms of food to the young.Among the insects consumed,98%are pests to forests and agricul
