摘　　要：美国不少当代作家以现实主义为基调,重新书写南北战争的黑暗历史。《冷山》和《少年罗比的秘境之旅》便是两部有代表性的小说,且都以“漂泊归乡”为故事主题,并被赋予了新的时代内涵。《冷山》萦绕着由外在环境到内心深处的孤独寂寞,折射了作家对于被卷入战争的芸芸众生的现代主义特征情感关切。《少年罗比的秘境之旅》则笼罩在诡异怪诞的氛围之中,留下了后现代印记。从“孤独”到“怪异”,相同主题下不同的叙事氛围,反映了当代内战小说在新现实主义潮流下的发展趋势,即从主要吸收现代主义之长向大胆借鉴后现代主义风格过渡的倾向。Many contemporary American writers have rewritten the dark history of the civil war in a realistic way.Cold Mountain and Coal Black Horse are two representative novels,both of which take “wandering home” as the theme and are endowed with connotation of the new era.In Cold Mountain,the loneliness from the external environment to the inner heart haunts the whole novel,reflecting the writer’s modernist emotional concern for the people involved in the war.Coal Black Horse is shrouded in a weird and grotesque atmosphere,leaving a trace of postmodernism.The fact that the narrative atmosphere changes from loneliness to weirdness with the same theme reflects the development trend of contemporary civil war novels under the stream of neo-realism,that is,the transition tendency from mainly absorbing the advantages of modernism to boldly borrowing from postmodernism.
