文化语义缺省的民族性范畴阐释

摘　　要：词汇的文化语义反映语言的民族性,体现民族的文化传统和风土人情。英汉两种语言历史悠久,文化底蕴深厚,然而由于主客观等诸多因素的影响,文化语义缺省现象十分突出。在范畴视域下探讨文化语义缺省的物质动因、认知动因及文化动因,有助于语言使用者和学习者更加全面把握英汉词汇的文化语义,从而开展有效的跨文化交际。历史不断发展,文化语义也并非一成不变,而是随着社会发展和时代变化不断推陈出新,这是文化语义的动态性决定的,因此人们应该将文化语义置于历史文化语境下,发掘语言的民族属性。Cultural semantic reflects the ethnic characters of a language,which also mirrors ethnic cultural heritage.Despite their long history and profound cultural heritage,cultural semantic default exists between Chinese and English because of subjective and objective reasons.Based on the theory of category,a study on the physical,cognitive,and cultural causes for cultural semantic default helps people to acquire a good comprehension of the cultural semantic,who,thereafter,can carry out cross-cultu-ral communication more efficiently.History has always been changing,so has cultural semantics,which has been upgrading with the social development.This is decided by the dynamic features of cultural semantics.Therefore,cultural semantics should be placed into historical cultural context to explore its ethnic characters.
