摘　　要：近四十年来史学界在商会以及中国近代其他商人团体史研究中,不断发掘新史料,转换新研究范式,取得了一系列令人瞩目的高质量成果。今后如何在现有基础上获得新突破,成为从事该领域研究的学者们需要认真思考的一个难题。彭南生所著《街区里的商人社会:上海马路商界联合会(1919—1929)》一书,以马路街区为单位组成的上海马路商界联合会为研究对象,揭示了基层商人团体的客观历史面貌,展示出“眼光向下”的独特新视野,不仅是推动中国近代商人团体史研究值得重视的新成果,而且可以促使这一重要研究领域在今后获得若干新突破。In the past 40 years,historians have continuously excavated new historical materials and transformed research paradigms in the study of the history of Chambers of Commerce and other merchant organizations in modern China,achieving a series of remarkable high-quality results.How to make new breakthroughs in the future research on the history of merchant organizations has become a tough issue worthy of serious consideration of scholars in this field.When the Neighborhood Merchants Organize:A Study of the Shanghai Road Merchants Association,1919—1929 by Peng Nansheng,targeted at the Shanghai Road Merchants Association formed by merchants from different neighborhoods with each neighborhood as a unit,reveals the objective history of grass-roots merchant organizations,and presents us the unique new perspective of“examining history from the bottom up”,which can not only bring new achievements in the study of the history of modern Chinese merchant organizations,but also bring about new breakthroughs in this important research field in the future.
