《香奁集》的编录与唐末回忆性书写

摘　　要：唐亡前后,唐末重臣韩偓将自己的艳诗旧作编为《香奁集》。政治地位显赫的朝臣在晚年结集保存自己的艳诗,在中国历史上是特例,对个中原因,一般从政治隐喻、歌咏情感等方面进行解释。本文认为编集原因有二:一是唐朝末年的战乱和社会剧变、个人处境的变化促成了回忆性书写,而辑录艳诗成集是这种“怀旧”的组成部分;二是9世纪下半叶,随着进士出身的新型精英成为政治文化的主导力量,士人群体对“风流”现象及其书写的认识和评价发生变化,使保存艳诗更能被接受。在这两个背景中考察,《香奁集》是一部唐末士人怀念已经逝去的太平年代的作品,它通过回忆“风流文化”来保存、延续唐代的政治文化秩序。Following the collapse of the Tang dynasty and his dislocation to the south,Han Wo,a leading official and poet in late Tang,compiled a collection of verses called the Xianglian ji(Collection of the Aromatic Cosmetic Case),containing over a hundred poems on women’s seductive allure that he wrote more than twenty years ago.However,Tang poets were reluctant to include amorous poems in their collections because indulgence in women and sensual pleasure was traditionally considered trivial and disruptive to social order.Why,then,did Han Wo preserve his amorous poems,especially at a time of chaos,both national and personal?One reason deals with the late Tang political turmoil that inspired a large body of nostalgic writings,to which the Xianglian ji belonged.For Han Wo and other like-minded officials in exile,recollecting their past pleasure by reading sensuous poems composed in the past was one of the ways to cope with their loss,to commemorate the political and cultural order of the past,and eventually to shape their memory of a fallen dynasty.The other reason lies in the perception of Tang elites’amorous affairs and their representations,which changed accordingly as the new political elites,who based their identity on literary talent,became the dominant political force in the second half of the ninth century.This made erotic poems more acceptable.
