律师身份的多模态符际建构

摘　　要：多模态身份建构研究迄今未触及语言符号与非语言符号间的符际机制。本文聚焦于语言与手势副语言的符号间性,采用外部观察法和语篇语义分析法,基于语言/手势复合交流系统,结合评价系统,提出律师身份符际建构的分析框架,用以分析律师如何使用语言和手势副语言建构身份。结果表明:律师运用语言和手势副语言在庭审中可以建构三种身份,即诉讼态度的表达者、诉讼立场的维护者和诉讼观点的强化者。本研究对律师身份的分析和定位具有现实意义。Previous intermodal research on identity construction ignores the mechanism of interaction between linguistic and non-linguistic signs.Adopting the methods of external observation and discourse semantics analysis and focusing on the intermodal nature of language and gesture-paralanguage,this paper proposes an analytical framework for the intermodal construction of the lawyer identity on the basis of the language/gesture composite communication system and the appraisal theory.Data analysis shows that they construct three identities in court with linguistic and non-linguistic signs,i.e.,the expresser of litigious attitude,the defender of the litigation position,and the reinforcer of litigation view.This study is of practical significance for analyzing and positioning the role of lawyers.
