摘 要:本研究基于语言固化理论,采用词汇测试与语料库方法,以词汇接受-产出连续统的六个维度为评价指标,考察了44名英语专业学生一年间学术词汇的发展特征。结果显示:1)学术词汇的发展水平与产出性维度呈显著负相关,与词频级呈显著正相关;2)接受-产出连续统整体呈先慢后快的上升趋势。控制产出维度发展最早,速率最快。中词频级发展最大,速率最快。研究还发现,学术词汇的发展受其复杂性、变异性和聚合范围的影响。研究结果体现了学术词汇发展过程中联想网络的逐渐固化,对理解二语词汇联想学习机制与学术词汇教学均有重要意义。Using vocabulary tests and corpus-based methods and with the six dimensions of the receptive-productive continuum as criteria,this study investigated the 1-year development of academic vocabulary of 44 English majors from the perspective of linguistic entrenchment theory.Three major results are revealed.First,subjects’ overall proficiency of academic vocabulary was significantly correlated with the productivity dimensions of their vocabulary knowledge in a negative way.Second,there was a significant positive correlation between subjects’ overall proficiency of academic vocabulary and the frequency level of the corresponding vocabulary.Third,subjects’ overall development of the receptive-productive continuum of L2 academic vocabulary increased at a slower pace in the beginning and more quickly at the end,with the controlled productive dimension developing the earliest and the most quickly and words at the middle frequency level developing to the greatest extent and in the fastest speed.The complexity,variability,and paradigmatic range of academic vocabulary were also found to be important factors affecting subjects’ academic vocabulary development.These results indicate that the development of academic vocabulary is a process where learners’ associative network of vocabulary getting gradually entrenched,thus providing significant implications for the understanding of the associative learning mechanism of L2 vocabulary and the teaching of academic vocabulary.
